Divisions:

  • Full Power
  • Bench Only
  • Deadlift Only
  • Push Pull (Bench Press and Deadlift)

Lifting Styles:

  • Raw
    • Requires a one-piece singlet, and allows 4-inch wide buckle or lever belt (No velcro belts or padding on the inside of the belt).
    • Wristwraps can be up to 1 meter.
    • Single layer knee sleeves.
    • Over the calf long socks required for the deadlift for all lifters.
  • Classic Raw
    • Same as RAW except it allows up to 2.5-meter knee wraps for the squat.

Weigh-ins: Friday, May 15th from 9:30am-12pm or 3-7pm

Saturday weigh-ins by exception only (6:30-7am). Must contact Meet Director for an appointment, ironworksgym247@gmail.com

Rules Briefing/Warmup: Saturday, 8:00 AM

Lifting Begins: Saturday, 9:30 AM

Lifting Divisions:

Open, Junior 13-15-, 16-17, 18-19, 20-23, Submaster 35-39, Master 40-44, 45-49, etc.

Weight Classes – in Kilos

Men: 52, 56, 60, 67.5, 75, 82.5, 90, 100, 110, 125, 140, 140+/SHW

Women: 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 67.5, 75, 82.5, 90, 90+/SHW

Grass Valley Powerlifting Training at Ironworks Gym in Grass Valley, CA

The Strength Warriors are a local Grass Valley Powerlifting Team created by Powerlifter and Strength Coach, Ryan Mathias. He holds FREE Powerlifting Training 4-days per week at Ironworks Gym in historic downtown Grass Valley, CA.

All training is based on the Mathias Method Strength System, which teaches you how to workout properly for strength in order to get the greatest results!

Important!

Realize that we are NOT Personal Trainers. We are lifters looking to get stronger just like you. So DO NOT come in expecting us to hold your hand and walk you through everything. We are happy to have anyone join in, beginner or not, but come in with a plan and be ready for anything.

When you come into Ironworks, please come up and say hi. We will be happy you are there, but then get to work. See what we are training that day and you can join in with our lifts or do your own if there is room. We don’t mind dropping weight to have others hop in so don’t be shy.

You can do any program you want when training with us. We are all at different levels and have different things to work on. If you need a program you can check out our strength programs. For beginners, we recommend you do our Base Of Strength Program.

The main point of this powerlifting training team is to help each other get better at any level. So be ready to help your fellow Strength Warriors just as much as you will be helped.
